The musician
Born into the Rudrapatnam family of musicians, grandson of Vidvan R K Venkatarama Shastri, he has accompanied Sangita Kalanidhi Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, Sangita Kalanidhi M S Subbulakshmi, Sangita Kalanidhi D K Pattammal and four generations since. In 2025 The Music Academy conferred on him the Sangita Kalanidhi.
